The street circuit along the Caspian Sea is known for its unique mix of long straights, narrow turns through the historic city center, and passage along the old city walls. At 6.003 kilometers, the Baku City Circuit is one of the longest tracks on the Formula 1 calendar. The track has a total of twenty turns and consistently offers a mix of high-speed passages and technically challenging, historic sections, including the narrow stretch through the old city. The race consists of 51 laps, covering a total distance of 306.049 km. Since its reintroduction as the Azerbaijan GP in 2017, this race is known for its unpredictability with surprising results.
