Four rings and three stripes. Audi is set to collaborate with clothing brand Adidas. The upcoming Formula 1 team announced this on Wednesday. The two German companies are entering into a multi-year agreement, making Adidas the official clothing partner of Audi in Formula 1 for an extended period. Earlier this year, Adidas also embarked on a long-term collaboration with Mercedes.
With only eight Grands Prix left before Audi takes the reins at Sauber in 2026, the German car manufacturer is busy preparing for their debut, and the collaboration with Adidas is a significant step forward. The German clothing brand will become the official ‘clothing partner’ of Audi in Formula 1. Not only will the clothing of the ‘drivers, mechanics, engineers, and other team members on the circuit’ be designed by Adidas, but the brand will also release an exclusive product line for fans. The first collection will be launched prior to the start of 2026, which marks Audi’s debut season.
“This agreement brings two iconic brands together on a global stage and marks a bold step in our journey to the grid as the Audi F1 Team,” says team boss Jonathan Wheatley in the official press release. “Together with adidas, we are providing our people with top sports clothing that enhances the team’s performance where it can make a difference. In addition to racing, we also want to make an impact off the track through innovation, style, and a pursuit of perfection. Together, we will create bold brand activations and groundbreaking experiences.”
Mercedes
Audi is not the first Formula 1 team that will wear Adidas clothing on the track in 2026. Last January, the clothing brand also entered into a multi-year partnership with the likewise German racing stable Mercedes. The collaboration paid off not only in clothing for the drivers but also in multiple outfits for the fans of the Lewis Hamilton.
