According to team owner Lawrence Stroll, Newey is the ‘key to future success’.
“As soon as Adrian Newey became available, we all knew we had to sign him,” Lawrence Stroll responded at a press conference on Tuesday. “When he saw what we’re building here and the talented people we’ve already hired, he knew right away that we’re in it to win.”
The Final Piece of the Puzzle
Lawrence Stroll then explained what makes Adrian Newey so special. “He is by far the best at what he does,” said the team owner. “He is not only a gentleman but also a formidable opponent. Aston Martin has attracted many great people over the past few years and built a fantastic team, but he is the last and the greatest piece of this puzzle.”
“Newey is truly the key to success, not only from a technical point of view, but also in terms of leadership,” continued Lawrence Stroll. “I think he will have a positive effect on the entire team.” The Canadian billionaire admitted that Aston Martin has not performed very well this season. “I think we can build a better car by 2025, but the most important thing is that we focus on 2026,” said Stroll. “Then all these new buildings and facilities will hopefully bear fruit.”
