The Italian Grand Prix turned out to be a disappointment for Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard dropped out halfway through the race with a broken Aston Martin vehicle.
While the Spaniard was busily battling in the midfield with the likes of Gabriel Bortoleto and Oliver Bearman, the right rear wheel suspension suddenly broke off. This happened when Alonso drove over the kerbstones. He was able to reach the pits, but his race in Monza was over.
