Pierre Gasly reflects on a challenging season, both for himself and the Alpine team. Despite the difficulties, the Frenchman looks forward with optimism to 2026, when the new regulations will come into effect. Alpine is set to switch to Mercedes engines next season, hoping to once again compete for victories.

Gasly finished the season with a nineteenth place in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and ended up eighteenth in the championship with 22 points. The Frenchman is relieved that the season is over. “I don’t even know where to start. I’m incredibly glad this season is over. It’s been a very long year, and on one hand, I’m very satisfied with how the team has handled the entire year. With all the sacrifices we’ve made and the focus on 2026, it’s been a pretty tough season.”

Gasly was proud of his team and how they fought throughout the season. “Despite all the challenges, everyone in the garage and in the factory gave their all, which is truly impressive, especially considering our performance,” said the Frenchman. “On the other hand, I’m glad this year is over. We will mainly remember the ten Q3s and the 22 points, which we really fought hard for. Everyone kept giving one hundred percent, and that’s impressive. It gives me a lot of confidence for next year: we have the right people and processes to get the most out of the car. But it hasn’t been a year to really enjoy, so I’m glad it’s over. I believe 2026 will be much better.”
