Max Verstappen remains cool as a cucumber after his victory in Qatar, even though the title is now back within his reach. “Can I do it again? We’ll see, I’m not overly concerned,” he says.
Verstappen is now only 12 points behind Lando Norris (both with seven victories) and he has a 4-point lead over Oscar Piastri. “I’m very pleased with the win here,” Verstappen understandably exclaims. The decision to pit during the early safety car period was the only right one. “An incredibly good decision. Smart.”
The title fight will therefore be decided next week during the final race in Abu Dhabi. “It’s great that we’re in the running until the end. Incredible.”
