Haas experienced one of the strongest weekends of the season in Mexico. With a fourth place for Oliver Bearman and a ninth for Esteban Ocon, the team secured fourteen points – their best result since the Grand Prix of China in March. Thanks to this score, the American racing team also moves up a spot in the constructors’ championship.

Bearman delivered his best Formula 1 performance to date in Mexico. The young Brit drove flawlessly, kept his cool in the final stages, and scored valuable points for Haas. “I’m so happy that I was able to score a lot of good points for the team this weekend,” he said after the race. “We did a fantastic job, the car felt great.” The duel with Max Verstappen made it extra special: “Going side by side with Max was really cool. I grew up as a Formula 1 fan with him, so this is amazing. Now I just want to give the team a big hug.”

Esteban Ocon was also satisfied with the weekend in Mexico. “It was a good race,” said the Frenchman. “Well done by Ollie and the whole team. We move up a spot in the constructors’ championship – those are nice points we can be proud of.” Haas team boss Ayao Komatsu praised the team performance: “A huge congratulations to everyone. We knew that one day a big result would come, but we couldn’t force it. We had to focus on our own race – and that’s exactly what we did today.”

Exciting Battle in the Midfield

Thanks to the strong performances, Haas climbs in the constructors’ championship from P9 to P8, overtaking the Sauber team. The American racing team is now only seven points behind Aston Martin and ten points behind Racing Bulls – a sixth place in the championship is still achievable. Meanwhile, Sauber is only two points behind Haas, making the battle in the midfield incredibly exciting.
