With the announcement of his move to Juncos Hollinger Racing, Rinus ‘VeeKay’ van Kalmthout is set for his seventh season in the IndyCar class, where he has so far posted impressive numbers.

Since the now 25-year-old Dutchman debuted in IndyCar in 2020, ‘VeeKay’ has already made 97 appearances. This means that in the third race of 2026, on the streets of Arlington, Texas, he will be starting an IndyCar race for the 100th time.

In his 97 starts to date, Van Kalmthout has achieved two pole positions, 33 top-ten finishes, and five podium places, including one victory. Moreover, VeeKay still holds the record as the youngest starter from the front row at the Indianapolis 500 in the 114-year history of the event.

With his new team, Juncos Hollinger Racing, Van Kalmthout is starting his seventh season in IndyCar. He has previously driven for the Ed Carpenter Racing and Dale Coyne Racing teams. In the feeder series, such as the then IndyLights, the driver from Hoofddorp had already driven for two seasons for the Argentine-American team he will be racing for in 2026.

His first race with Juncos Hollinger Racing is on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The new season in IndyCar traditionally starts with a race on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
