In 2026, Rinus ‘VeeKay’ van Kalmthout will be driving in the IndyCar for Juncos Hollinger Racing. The 25-year-old Dutchman previously raced for Dale Coyne Racing last year. Van Kalmthout is returning to the team he drove for in the feeder series for two years. “This feels like coming home,” he says.

“I am very pleased to announce my move to Juncos Hollinger Racing,” an excited VeeKay shares from the United States. “This is a team with great ambition and a clear future strategy. We want to be able to compete with the best teams in IndyCar, and I am convinced that together we are capable of performing well and achieving success.”

The driver from Hoofddorp has fond memories of his previous collaboration with Juncos Hollinger Racing, an Argentine-American team. “We have known each other for many years. Juncos gave me a chance on the Road To Indy ladder, and together we were very successful, with thirteen victories and a title.” He also finished second in the Indy Lights championship (now IndyNXT), the final step before IndyCar.

Last year, Van Kalmthout had a solid IndyCar season with Dale Coyne Racing. The Dutchman put the modest team on the map with seven top-ten finishes and even secured a podium place in Toronto (second). However, it was already clear that he would not be racing for the team in 2026. The first race he will participate in for Juncos Hollinger Racing is in St. Petersburg, Florida. The new IndyCar season begins there on Sunday, March 1.
