Aston Martin CEO and team boss, Andy Cowell, appears to leave the door ajar for Christian Horner in Singapore. The Red Bull team boss was dismissed from the Austrian team in July, but due to his track record at Red Bull, he is often linked to a return to Formula 1. According to the latest rumors, Aston Martin is open to a collaboration. Prior to the Singapore GP, Cowell does not deny these rumors.

Since his dismissal shortly after the British GP, Christian Horner has not been seen in the paddock, but his absence could soon come to an end. The Brit is linked to a Formula 1 return via Aston Martin. CEO Andy Cowell does not show his cards in Singapore yet.

In the Asian city-state, the Brit was asked several times about a possible arrival of his compatriot at the team of owner Lawrence Stroll. “I think Christian is taking a break at the moment,” said the Aston Martin team boss. “He’s probably enjoying time with friends and family. But he loves the sport. I wish him all the best with whatever he decides to do in the future.”

‘It’s up to Christian’

Cowell also avoided a direct answer to a subsequent question about Horner. “We have a strong team with Adrian (Newey, ed.) at the helm of the technical organization,” the Brit emphasized. “And we are growing and building further.” However, the questions about the former Red Bull team boss did not stop, and Cowell seemed to subsequently leave the door ajar for Horner. “I think Christian’s track record speaks for itself. He was a great competitor. It’s up to Christian himself to figure out what he wants to do. Maybe he wants to quit the sport. Maybe he wants to do something else within the sport. But that’s up to Christian, isn’t it? Who knows what will happen.”
