Esteban Ocon appears to have found his home at the Haas Formula 1 team. The Frenchman made the switch from Alpine to the American team last winter and is already referring to it as the best working environment of his Formula 1 career. According to Ocon, his excellent relationship with Oliver Bearman plays a key role in this.
“There’s a truly competitive atmosphere at Haas, which makes me feel completely at home,” Ocon tells Autosport. According to the Frenchman, his relationship with teammate Oliver Bearman plays a significant role in why he feels so good. “I have the best bond with Ollie out of all my teammates so far. We really get along well, and it creates such a pleasant atmosphere within the team. That helps us stay sharp and work together as one team on development for the future.”
The collaboration with team boss Ayao Komatsu is also going very smoothly according to Ocon. “Sometimes a team boss can distance themselves from what’s happening in the engineers’ room, but at Haas we’re all on the same page. We’re all united and that’s very good for the team.” With a strong team spirit, Haas seems to be an ideal place for Ocon to continue his Formula 1 career.
