Looking for a second-hand car? Perhaps Max Verstappen‘s former Porsche could pique your interest! This 991 GT2 RS Clubsport was purchased by the Dutch Formula 1 champion in 2019. By 2023, he had already parted ways with the vehicle, but now it has resurfaced in an exclusive auction. Bear in mind that both Max and his father, Jos Verstappen, have taken this racing beast for a spin on the track.

There’s no doubt that this Porsche once belonged to Max Verstappen. His signature adorns the bonnet, the dashboard, and the engine compartment. After two years and only a few hundred kilometers, the celebrated driver decided to sell his car, but not before it played a supporting role in the documentary series Max Verstappen: Whatever it Takes. In it, viewers can see Max and his father Jos pushing the GT2 RS Clubsport to its limits on the Barcelona circuit.

A Rare Speed Demon

Now, Verstappen’s Porsche is once again looking for a new owner. The car was exported to the United States three years ago and has barely been driven since. Auction house RM Sotheby’s, which hopes to auction off the car this month, reports that the odometer only reads 2,190 kilometers. Verstappen originally bought the Porsche brand new for around four hundred thousand euros, but its value has significantly increased since then. The auction house expects to fetch between 470,000 and 550,000 euros.”The GT2 RS Clubsport is a spectacular track car for the most seasoned 911 enthusiasts,” according to RM Sotheby’s. “Based on the GT2 RS, the Clubsport features a unique exhaust system, while the chassis also has a series of improvements compared to the road car.” Max Verstappen‘s Porsche is powered by a 700 horsepower 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with two turbos. It is also a rare speed demon – Verstappen bought number 65 out of only 200 units.
