Lymph&Co, the foundation of Bernhard van Oranje, hopes to raise funds this year for scientific research into lymphoma through an auction of items including racing memorabilia from Max Verstappen. Bids can be placed on Verstappen’s racing gloves and undershirt, worn during the Dutch GP 2025, on the Lymph&Co website until Sunday evening at 19:00 UTC. It is not specified whether the items will be washed for the highest bidder.
In addition to being a co-owner of the Zandvoort circuit, Bernhard van Oranje has been the passionate chairman of Lymph&Co for many years. His foundation aims to financially support scientific research into lymphoma and generate as much attention as possible for this form of cancer. Last year, Nico Hülkenberg donated his helmet for the auction in Zandvoort, which raised €70,500.
‘Every Euro Goes to Research’
This year, Verstappen is lending his support. The lots are being offered, including a replica of the winner’s trophy, which is expected to raise at least €10,000. Bids for Max Verstappen’s items can start from €5,000.
Prince Bernhard van Oranje, who himself had lymphoma but overcame the disease, is deeply committed to his foundation. “Approximately one in fifty people are diagnosed with lymphoma. In the Netherlands alone, about 4,000 new patients are added each year, and this number is increasing. Among children, it is already the third most common type of cancer. We support the best fundamental research worldwide in an attempt to develop new treatment methods or cures. We receive requests from all over the world. Every euro that comes to us goes to research.”
