In 2020, Formula 1 made a triumphant return to the iconic Zandvoort circuit. For my father, a passionate F1 enthusiast, this was an unforgettable gift for his 80th birthday. With the most expensive tickets and a view of the start-finish line and pit lane, he was overjoyed. However, the race was unfortunately cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The following year, I was able to take my father to the Dutch GP. We set off early in the morning to avoid the crowds. My father quickly found his seat and flag. The race was a spectacle, and the stands erupted in cheers when Max Verstappen won. Although the atmosphere was fantastic, we watched the highlights again at home. My father admitted he enjoyed watching it on TV just as much. I caught the racing bug and have been attending every year since. However, that first time with my father remains unforgettable.
