After a brief hiatus in the Formula 1 season, Max Verstappen is setting his sights on the Belgian Grand Prix. The Dutchman returns to his favourite circuit, Spa-Francorchamps, after spending some quality time with his family.

“Spa is a classic and always my favourite track on the calendar,” says Verstappen. “It’s an old school circuit, where everything has to be perfect to set a good lap. The fast corners like Eau Rouge, the elevation changes, and the unique character of the circuit make it challenging, and that’s why it’s so beautiful to drive.”

Verstappen acknowledges that the weekend at Silverstone did not go flawlessly, but he also sees the positives: “It wasn’t our best race, but the pole in the qualifying was a promising sign. After Silverstone, I went back to the factory to spend time in the simulator with the team. I’m looking forward to working closely with Laurent.”

For Verstappen, the race in Belgium also feels like coming home: “The support from the Orange Army is always huge here. It’s like I’m running another home race. This weekend, I’ll be wearing my special helmet, matching cap, and shoes to complete the picture.”
