Just a week after the Austrian Grand Prix, it’s already time for the race weekend at Silverstone. The British Grand Prix is, of course, where Formula 1 began in 1950. Racing Bulls must have thought it a fitting occasion to bring an artistic livery, partnering with HUGO and Nigerian artist Slawn for a one-off livery for Silverstone.
The special livery of Racing Bulls and sponsor HUGO was unveiled by drivers Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar, and artist Slawn himself, ahead of the British race weekend. This unveiling took place at the luxury clothing store Flannels X on Oxford Street in London. The livery of the Racing Bulls car has become a sort of ‘canvas for Slawn’s signature caricature street art’ for one race weekend.
‘Madness’
The Nigerian artist is known for his graffiti-inspired art style. The racing suits of Hadjar and Lawson also feature a design by Slawn. “Art meets speed and I brought the madness,” the artist himself says about the design. “Thank you very much HUGO and VCARB for your trust in the vision.”
