Richard Verschoor has achieved a double victory at the Red Bull Ring. The Dutchman not only wins the main race, but also takes over the lead in the Formula 2 championship from Alex Dunne. The Irishman finishes more than a second behind in second place.
An early tyre stop paved the way for Verschoor, who started from P3, to his second victory in a so-called feature race this year. He had previously accomplished this feat in Jeddah, also thanks to a tactical discovery. In addition, he recently won the sprint race in Spain. There are still seven GP weekends left in the Formula 2 this year.
