Commercial rights holder Liberty Media and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) have announced the Formula 1 calendar for 2026. Once again, there are 24 Grands Prix scheduled. The most notable change is that the Dutch GP has been moved forward by a week to August 23rd, and it will no longer be followed by the Italian GP in Monza a week later.
As in previous years, Melbourne will kick off the season. The first race of 2026 is set for March 8th, immediately followed by the China GP. Other notable changes? The Canada GP has been moved to May and is now scheduled two weeks after the race in Miami. The new addition in Madrid is scheduled for mid-September, a week after Monza, and as expected, it has pushed Imola off the calendar. The season will conclude with a trio of races: the circuit will travel from Las Vegas to Qatar and then to Abu Dhabi, which traditionally hosts the year’s finale on December 6th, for a substantial fee.
