Verstappen.com Racing, the team of the four-time F1 world champion, will compete in this year’s GT World Challenge Europe Championship with an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and a driver from simracing.
It is unknown whether Max Verstappen will ever race in F1 with Aston Martin. However, when it comes to his team, Verstappen.com Racing, the four-time world champion has decided to put his trust in the British manufacturer. Indeed, it is behind the wheel of a Vantage AMR GT3 Evo that the three drivers of the Dutch team will compete in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, one of the most prestigious in this category.
At the wheel, we will find Thierry Vermeulen, the son of his manager Raymond Vermeulen, Harry King, and Chris Lulham, a simracer who will therefore make his debut in real competition. “I have always wanted to support young drivers and I have tried to create this bridge between simracing and real competition,” Verstappen commented in a statement. “With Chris Lulham, who has been promoted from our simracing team, Team Redline, to the GT3 team, we are taking another step in this direction.”
The program for this first season, in association with the British structure 2 Seas Motorsport, includes five races, including the famous 24 Hours of Spa at the end of June.
