Max Verstappen has unveiled his helmet for the 2025 Formula 1 season. The design follows the familiar red-white-blue color scheme, although there have been several modifications. The four-time world champion does not speak of a new design, but of an evolution of his personal style. The 2025 helmet pays tribute to his early years in Formula 1, but also reflects his future in motorsport.

According to an official press release, the design draws influences from his karting days, his father Jos’s helmet, and designs from previous Formula 1 seasons. “The design tells the story of determination, precision, and the constant pursuit of perfection. All lines, colors, and details are the result of years of refinement and experimentation, with one goal in mind: a helmet in which Max fully recognizes himself.” Is this the ultimate helmet for the Dutch champion? Judge for yourself!

‘Returning to My Roots’

“This helmet design is essentially similar to when I started racing, when I was four years old,” Max Verstappen shares about his latest masterpiece. “It was based on my father’s design, and I’m very proud of that. When I started racing, that design was very important to me. That was the helmet I really liked – I’m proud that I can now wear it myself.” The helmet is naturally adorned with the national tricolor, and four stars are affixed to the back, one for each Formula 1 world title.

“I tried to keep it as simple as possible,” says Verstappen. “It’s really a design that I like, with of course the lion on top. You could certainly say that it’s our family design. Some details are different, but overall, this helmet goes back to my roots. I’m very happy with it.”
