Just a week after Jos Verstappen’s dominant victory at the South Limburg Rally, Max Verstappen’s father has claimed yet another win. Competing in the Belgian town of Malmedy, Verstappen, along with co-driver Renaud Jamoul, convincingly won the Rallye des Crêtes.

The driving duo secured this victory by finishing fastest in seven out of the twelve special stages. Verstappen and Jamoul drove a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 car. The start of the Rallye des Crêtes was near the famous Circuit Spa-Francorchamps, and featured three different stages: Lasnenville, Cligneval, and Thier du Bac. Each of these was run four times.

Verstappen made the difference particularly in the third loop of the three stages, and thanks to his performance in finishing all the stages fastest, he gained a one-minute lead over closest competitors Maxime Potty and Cédric Cherain. Cherain managed to close the gap slightly during the final loop, but in the end, the rally driver convincingly won with a 49-second lead over the Belgian Cherain.
