Formula 1 will celebrate its seventy-fifth anniversary next year. In honor of this milestone, the 2025 season will kick off with a large-scale event where all the new cars will be unveiled simultaneously. This joint ‘launch’ of the new season will take place in the O2 Arena in London. All teams, team bosses, and drivers will be present.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, just under a month before the season starts in Melbourne. Formula 1 will come together with fans to launch the anniversary season. For the first time in history, all ten participating Formula 1 teams will unveil their cars simultaneously. Until now, teams usually opted for separate presentations.

In an official press release, Formula 1 speaks of a ‘world premiere’ in London. The event is being organized by Brian Burke of BrianBurkeCreative, one of the big names in the world of live entertainment. Burke was partly responsible for the opening and closing ceremonies of the inaugural GP in Las Vegas.

‘Formula 1 is a spectacle’

“For the first time, we are bringing together our fans, all the superstars of our sport, and some very special guests to officially kick off our new season,” said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1. “After all the drama of 2024, we are gearing up for a classic season in 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans of all ages to experience the incredible spectacle that is Formula 1 up close.”The FIA is delighted to celebrate the opening of the new season together with our colleagues from Formula 1 and all the teams,” added FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. Organizer Brian Burke is equally enthusiastic. “Thanks to the collaboration with all the teams, fans can be sure that it will be a fantastic event,” said Burke. “You absolutely must not miss it!”
