The qualifying round for the Italian Grand Prix has set off alarm bells at Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen’s inability to advance beyond P7 is a cause for concern, according to Dr. Helmut Marko. “We are puzzled,” he admits.

Marko is sounding the alarm, stating that “something is not right”. He expressed this concern to Sky Deutschland. His worries stem from the difference between Q3 and Q2, as well as the gap between Verstappen and Pérez. “Pérez is less than a tenth behind Max, usually it’s three or four tenths of a second,” he notes.

What’s the cause? That’s what Red Bull urgently needs to find out. According to Marko, not much was tweaked on the car during the qualifying round. “Initially, we were right behind Hamilton, then suddenly nothing worked anymore,” he laments.
