The international ticket seller, Platinium Group, has been ordered to pay 3 million euros to the Dutch Grand Prix organization. This decision was made by the court on the first day of the Grand Prix weekend in Zandvoort, bringing an end to a long-standing legal dispute between the two organizations over international ticket sales.

Platinium Group was responsible for selling 35,000 foreign tickets for the Grand Prix in Zandvoort. Not all of these tickets were sold, and the ticket seller refused to pay the final installment of 3.8 million euros. Platinium Group claimed that the Dutch Grand Prix had not fulfilled its agreements, as other providers, including Verstappen.com, were also selling tickets to foreign fans.

The Dutch GP organization, however, relies on ticket sales for 60 percent of its revenue and demanded that Platinium Group transfer the remaining amount. The court ultimately sided with the Dutch Grand Prix organization, ordering the ticket seller to pay the remaining amount. Furthermore, Platinium Group must also fulfill its obligations for 2025, as stated in the contract.

Focus Now Shifts to the Upcoming Weekend

“We are, of course, very pleased with the ruling,” circuit director Robert van Overdijk responded to the news. “I think it’s especially nice for us that it has been confirmed that we fulfill all agreements we make with parties. We can now close this chapter and focus on another unique weekend.” The race in Zandvoort will be held this coming Sunday in the Dutch dunes.
