As Formula 1 gears up for the Belgian Grand Prix, the final race before the summer break, all eyes are on Max Verstappen and his rivals. They’re set to tackle the challenging Spa-Francorchamps, the longest track on the calendar. However, the weather gods may not be on their side, with rain forecasted in Belgium. Here’s the weather report for the Belgian Grand Prix!

Fans of rain races have had plenty to cheer about this year. We’re just over halfway through 2024, and Formula 1 has already seen its fair share of wet conditions. From Montréal to Silverstone, the weather at various circuits has proven to be quite unpredictable. Before the season temporarily halts for the summer break, the F1 circus is due to visit the Belgian Ardennes and Circuit Spa-Francorchamps. The weather report for the Belgian Grand Prix promises more of the same.

Weather Report for the Belgian Grand Prix

On Friday, when the first free practices are scheduled, the weather is expected to be challenging. With a maximum temperature of 21 degrees Celsius and a 90% chance of rain, drivers will likely need to test their wet-weather skills. The circuit is expected to be cloudy, with showers predicted throughout the day.

On Saturday, as the drivers prepare for the crucial qualifying session, the weather is set to worsen. The current forecast predicts heavy rain showers spread throughout the day. This could lead to some unexpected outcomes on the Belgian tarmac. During the Grand Prix, the weather is expected to clear up slightly over the circuit. The temperature will again not exceed 21 degrees Celsius, but the chance of rain will drop to 55%. There’s a chance of a light shower in the afternoon. In other words, it’s going to be a typically unpredictable day!
