Even in Maranello, they can’t resist the occasional release of a special livery. However, Ferrari is taking it to another level during the Miami GP. The typically fiery red SF-24 will be adorned with a significant amount of blue details, in honor of Ferrari’s long history in American motorsport.
The Formula 1 team of Ferrari announced on Tuesday that they will be racing with a partially blue livery during the Miami GP. This is a daring choice for the Scuderia, which generally sticks to red with a touch of white, yellow, or black. The Italians have stated that the blue is primarily a nod to the team’s history. “The color scheme celebrates our rich past and is a favorite among our fans,” says Ferrari.
Reportedly, the SF-24 will be adorned with accents in azzurro la plata (a light baby blue) and azzuro dino (a solid, bright blue color). Ferrari’s clients can also have these colors sprayed on their street cars. In 2023, the Scuderia had a special livery during the home race in Italy and during the Las Vegas GP. At that time, they mainly experimented with yellow and white.
