Today, we’re taking you to Miami, where James Corden and Daniel Ricciardo are having a blast.
In 2021, McLaren hired James Corden to entertain guests at the inaugural Miami GP and give viewers of his popular Late Late Show a behind-the-scenes look at a Formula 1 team. The British comedian and talk show host, a huge Formula 1 fan, easily won over the crowd in the paddock on the first Friday. The entrance to McLaren’s pit box was bustling all day as people followed Corden’s antics.
Corden was tasked with various chores, such as washing the rims and transporting tires. He did this in his own unique way, providing humorous commentary. Not only the guests in the paddock, but also the drivers and other team personnel from McLaren were charmed by the British comedian. This was especially true when he carried Daniel Ricciardo, always up for a joke, on his shoulders for a short walk through the paddock.
While Corden’s presence was a publicity hit, the race in Miami was a sporting flop. Ricciardo finished thirteenth, while Lando Norris did not finish. Fortunately, there was at least something to laugh about on Friday…
