Red Bull recently faced criticism over an alleged feature on the RB20, which was suspected to be in violation of regulations. However, this turned out to be a tempest in a teapot. Yet, for Zak Brown, this was enough reason to attack his rivals during an official press conference, prompting a fierce response from Christian Horner. Max Verstappen, on the other hand, prefers to avoid this latest spat by watching MotoGP!
The German Autosport asked Max Verstappen about the latest dispute between his team boss and the CEO of McLaren. “I really don’t care,” he sighed. Regarding the alleged part on his RB20, he was also brief. “We just used it as a tool to adjust the ride height more quickly.” His competitors feared that Red Bull could adjust the ride height between qualifications and races, something that is normally strictly forbidden.
Verstappen wants to emphasize that the feud between Horner and Brown has little to do with Red Bull or McLaren. “It wasn’t really McLaren making a fuss, it was more Zak (Brown),” said the Limburger. “He doesn’t like Christian (Horner) and vice versa. That’s just the way it is. That’s not my problem, I don’t care much. I see it happening and I read a bit about it. But to be honest, I’d rather watch MotoGP or get behind my simulator,” Verstappen concluded.
