As the final race in Abu Dhabi is yet to take place, several teams are already looking ahead to 2026 and the new technical regulations. Both the chassis and the engine formula are set for a revamp, making the upcoming winter break particularly exciting for the various constructors. We already know from a few teams when we can expect the first impressions of their new cars; following Red Bull and Racing Bulls, Aston Martin and Alpine have also set their presentation dates.
Red Bull and its sister team Racing Bulls previously confirmed that the new cars will be unveiled on January 15 in Detroit, the home base of engine supplier Ford. It is expected to be a symbolic presentation. The teams will only show the new color scheme, without revealing the actual design. The complete RB22 – and the VCARB 03 – will only debut during the first test days.
Aston Martin and Alpine
This week, Aston Martin and Alpine announced that they too have set their presentation dates. The day after the GP of Qatar, the British racing team announced that the AMR26 will be unveiled on February 9. Further details are still missing. On social media, the team shared a pencil sketch of the name ‘AMR26’, a clear nod to top designer and future team boss Adrian Newey. The acclaimed Brit is primarily responsible for the new car.
On Tuesday, Alpine followed the example of Red Bull and Aston Martin. The new car, presumably the A526, will be unveiled on January 23 in Barcelona. Here too, it is a so-called season launch, where the actual design remains behind the scenes for a while longer. The chassis is expected to make the difference next year, especially now that the team has moved away from its own Renault engine. From 2026, the Enstone team will be using a Mercedes powertrain.
